Marcel Halstenberg is a 27-year-old left-back and center-back for RB Leipzig. Halstenberg was born on September 27th, 1991 in Laatzen, Germany and spent his youth career playing for SV Germania Grasdorf until 1999 and Hannover 96 from 1999 until 2010. His senior career continued at Hannover, where he played for the club’s reserve squad during the 2010-2011 season. He then played for Borussia Dortmund’s reserve squad from 2011 until 2013, and for FC St. Pauli from 2013 until 2015. He joined his current club in 2015, where he has since made more than 100 appearances and scored 9 goals. Halstenberg has also made 4 appearances for Germany’s national team since 2017, scoring 1 goal.
