Johannes Eggestein is a striker for SV Werder Bremen. Eggestein was born on May 8, 1998 in Hannover, Germany, and spent his youth career playing for TSV Schloß Ricklingen, TSV Havelse, and SV Werder Bremen. His senior career began in 2016 for Bremen’s reserve and senior squads, where he has scored 8 goals in 63 appearances. Eggestein has also played for Germany’s U15, U16, U17, U19, and U21 squads since 2012, scoring 25 goals in 45 appearances. Eggestein is the son of former footballer Karl Eggestein, who played for TSV Havelse in the 2. Bundesliga, and the brother of Maximilian Eggestein, who also plays for Werder Bremen.
