Philly BFC Summer Updates

Bundesliga's Sommerpause is almost over and we couldn't be more excited. We've been working on several things during the summer break, so this post serves as an update for anybody that's interested in the Philly Bundesliga Fan Coalition and Bundesliga.

Updates & News

• The first round of DFB-Pokal begins on Friday, August 7, 2015. We will post a Pokal article prior to August 7.
• The new Bundesliga season starts on Friday, August 14, 2015. As defending champions, Bayern München will host Hamburger SV in that first match.
• Philly BFC has a brand new mobile-friendly website! You're looking at if you're viewing this from your smartphone or tablet. Make sure to click the top right hand corner to view the many pages. If you're on a desktop computer, you'll see our brand new banner, and our new logo is at the top of this blog post. Thanks, Alex!
• We've had two monthly meetings since the end of the 2014/2015 Bundesliga season. Our next meeting is on Sunday, July 26 at 12 pm. All monthly meetings are held at Brauhaus Schmitz. Check out the May and June meeting minutes.
• We are on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Periscope (search for PhillyBFC). We plan on broadcasting portions of our Bundesliga Saturday morning shenanigans on Periscope during the new season.
• Email us if you have a Gmail account and want to be added to our Bundesliga Calendar. When you're added you'll be able to see Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal schedules and results from your mobile device and computer.
• Brauhaus Schmitz was kind of enough to fund our scarves. They can be purchased there for $25. If you're not from the area and would still like a Philly BFC scarf, please email us.
• The 3rd Annual Volksbarmarch will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2015. The Volksbarmarch happens every first Saturday of the Bundesliga season and it's free to attend this German bar crawl around Philadelphia. Each attendee receives a shiny Philly BFC button. Show up at Brauhaus Schmitz between 9:30 and 11:30 am on August 15 to join the Volksbarmarch. Email us for more details, or go to our Facebook event page.
• As you know, Bundesliga will be shown on Fox Sports starting in August. Unfortunately, Fox Sports has done a terrible job promoting our favorite league. The only account promoting Bundesliga on Fox Sports is a parody account on Twitter. Please support this silly little account by following @BundesligaOnFox.
• Contact us if you run a Bundesliga website or Bundesliga supporters group. We're planning on adding a links page to this website and would love to do a link exchange.
