Keitel was born on February 15, 2000 in Breisach, Germany, and spent his youth career playing for SV Breisach and SC Freiburg. He made his professional debut in the Bundesliga on February 29, 2020 in a 1:0 defeat away at Borussia Dortmund. He signed his first professional contract in April 2020, and has since scored 3 goals in 77 appearances for SC Freiburg and SC Freiburg II. Keitel also scored 3 goals in 32 appearances for Germany’s U15, U16, and U21 squads between 2015 and 2023.
