Derry Lionel Scherhant is a 20-year-old striker for Hertha BSC. Scherhant was born on November 10, 2022 in Berlin, Germany, and spent his youth career playing for Viktoria Berlin from 2017 to 2019, Tennis Borussia Berlin from 2019 to 2020, Berliner SC in 2020, and Hertha BSC from 2020 to 2021. In the summer of 2021, he was promoted to Hertha’s B-team in the Regionalliga, where he scored 16 goals in 34 appearances in his first season. He signed a professional contract with the senior squad on June 17, 2022, and made his debut as a late substitute in a 1:1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt on August 13, 2022.
