Christian Früchtl is a 21-year-old goalkeeper for FC Bayern München. Früchtl was born on January 28, 2000 in Bischofsmais, Germany, and spent his youth career playing for SV Bischofsmais and SpVgg Grün-Weiss Deggendorf before joining Bayern’s youth academy in 2014. In 2017, he won the 2016-17 B-Junioren Bundesliga with Bayern’s U17 squad, and he appeared 7 times for Bayern’s U19 team during the same season. He began his senior career for Bayern München II in the 2017-18 season, and made his professional debut for the reserve team in the 3. Liga on July 20, 2019 in an away match against the Würzburger Kickers. Früchtl spent last season on loan to 1. FC Nürnberg, and has also made 17 appearances for Germany’s U15, U16, U17, U18, U19, and U20 squads since 2015.
