Klaus later played for SC Freiburg from 2013 to 2015 and Hannover 96 from 2015 to 2018, before transferring to his current club in the summer of 2018. Klaus has also made 22 appearances for Germany’s U17, U18, U19, U20, and U21 squads, scoring 3 goals between 2008 and 2015. His father, Fred, is a retired footballer and current coach.
