His senior career began in 2005 at SV Meinersen, where he played until 2007. He then played for 2 years each at MTV Gifhorn and VfL Wolfsburg, before joining his current club in 2011. He made his debut with Bielefeld on the opening day of the 2011-2012 season, in a 1:2 loss against VfB Stuttgart II, and went on to score 10 goals that season, and was named as a 3. Liga player of the year. In total, he has scored 132 goals in 294 appearances with Bielefeld.
