Maximilian Arnold is a 25-year-old midfielder for VfL Wolfsburg. Arnold was born on May 27, 1994 in Riesa, Germany, and spent his youth career playing for SC Riesa from 2003 to 2006, Dynamo Dresden from 2006 to 2009, and VfL Wolfsburg from 2009 to 2013. Arnold became the club’s youngest-ever debutante on November 26, 2011, when he was brought on as a late substitute in a 0:2 loss at FC Augsburg. His senior career became permanent in 2013 under new manager Dieter Hecking, and in April of that year, he scored his first professional goal in a 2:2 home draw against Hoffenheim. He has since scored 23 goals in more than 200 appearances for Wolfsburg’s first squad. Arnold has also played for Germany’s U16, U17, U18, U19, U20, U21, and senior squads since 2009, scoring 9 goals in 52 appearances.
