Matthias Bader is a 22-year-old defender for 1. FC Köln. Bader was born on June 17th, 1997 in Pforzheim, Germany, and spent his youth career playing for Karlsruher FC from 2006 to 2015. His senior career continued at Karlsruhe from 2015 to 2018, where he made 46 appearances. He joined his current club last year, where he made 4 appearances during his first season with the club, but was sidelined by an injury early in the season, and was also guilty of an own-goal in a match against MSV Duisburg. Bader has also played for Germany’s U16, U17, U18, and U19 squads since 2013.
