His senior career continued at Augsburg, where he made his Bundesliga debut on February 16, 2014 against 1. FC Nürnberg. He spent the 2015-16 season on loan to 1. FC Kaiserslautern and the 2016-17 season on loan to Jahn Regensburg. On January 18, 2018, Thommy moved to VfB Stuttgart, and he scored his first Bundesliga goal against Eintracht Frankfurt on February 24th.
