Levin Öztunali is a 22-year-old midfielder for 1. FSV Mainz 05. Öztunali was born on March 15, 1996 in Hamburg, Germany and spent his youth career playing football for TuRa Harksheide, Eintracht Norderstedt, and Hamburger SV. His senior career began in 2013 with Bayer Leverkusen, where he made 15 appearances before being loaned to SV Werder Bremen for the 2015-16 season. Following the expiration of the loan, he transferred to Mainz on a 5-year deal. His debut for his current club came on August 27, 2016, and a week later he scored his first goal for the club a week later against Hoffenheim. Starting in 2010, Öztunali has played for Germany’s U15, U16, U17, U19, U20, and U21 squads, where he has scored 10 goals in 64 appearances.
