Zoller was born on June 26, 1991 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, and spent his youth football career playing for TSV Fischbach, TSG Ailingen, Germania Singen, 1. FC Pforzheim, VfB Friedrichshafen, VfB Stuttgart, and SSV Ulm 1846. His senior career began in 2008 at Karlsruher SC, where he made his professional debut against Osnabrück in 2010. After Karlsruhe was relegated to the Dritte Liga, he played for VfL Osnabrück from 2012 to 2013 and 1. FC Kaiserslautern from 2013 to 2014, where his performance earned him a 4-year contract with 1.
