Niclas Füllkrug is a 24-year-old striker for Hannover 96. Füllkrug was born on February 9, 1993 in Hannover, Germany, and began his youth career in 1997 at TuS Ricklingen. His youth career continued at Sportfreunde Ricklingen from 2005 to 2006 and finally at SV Werder Bremen from 2010 to 2012. His senior career began at SV Werder Bremen in 2011, and he was eventually loaned to SpVgg Greuther Fürth for the 2013-14 season. He then played for 1. FC Nürnberg from 2014-16 before joining Hannover 96 in July 2016. Füllkrug said at the time that he had decided against offers from clubs in the 1. Bundesliga at the time in order to return to his hometown.
