Sebastian Rudy is a 27-year-old midfielder for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Rudy was born in 1990 in Villingen-Schwenningen, West Germany, and began playing football in 1996 for FC Dietingen, and transferred to SV Zimmern in 2001. In 2003, he joined the youth academy of VfB Stuttgart, and started his senior career in 2007 with Stuttgart’s reserve team. His professional debut with the team occurred on August 2, 2008 against Union Berlin. That same summer, he signed a contract with Stuttgart’s 1. Bundesliga team, and made his debut with them in the first round of the DFB Pokal on August 10, 2008 against Hansa Lüneburg. Rudy will transfer to Bayern München in July 2017, and has been a member of Germany’s national squad since 2014.
