Visiting Wolfsburg stunned hosts FC Bayern München on Friday with a 2:2 draw in the Allianz Arena. Bayern had taken the lead in the first half of the match with goals from Robert Lewandowski and Arjen Robben, but were unable to score in the second half, allowing Wolfsburg to tie the match with goals from Maximilian Arnold and Daniel Didavi. The draw leaves Bayern in second place in the table going into Saturday’s matches, and without star goaltender Manuel Neuer, whose latest foot injury will leave him sidelined for the next several months. Bayer Leverkusen announced on Thursday that FIFA have allowed Argentine striker Lucas Alario to play for the club. Leverkusen paid Alario’s release clause of 23.8 million Euros on August 31, but Alario’s former club, River Plate, argued unsuccessfully that the transfer was invalid because the payment had occurred after the season began. Augsburg’s Daniel Baier was fined 20,000 Euros and banned for one match after he made an obscene gesture toward RB Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhutti on Tuesday. The ban means Baier will miss the trip to Stuttgart on Saturday. The 1. Bundesliga’s 2 youngest coaches, both products of Hoffenheim’s youth organization, will face off on Saturday when Domenico Tedesco’s Schalke squad travels to Hoffenheim. When the two clubs last met in the spring, Schalke’s Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting put his club into an early lead, but Hoffenheim rallied to win 2:1. This season, Hoffenheim is in 3rd place in the league and just 2 points behind Dortmund and Bayern, while Schalke is 2 points further behind and just 1 point out of 5th place. RB Leipzig will host Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, but will do so without star midfielder Naby Keita, who is serving a 3-game suspension. He is likely to be replaced in the lineup by Diego Demme, who was called up this year for his first match with the German national team, in its friendly against Denmark in June. RB Leipzig star Emil Forsberg, meanwhile, bought a Ferrari for his agent, Hasan Cetinkaya. Forsberg has been working with Cetinkaya since his days at boyhood club Sundsvall, and recently extended his contract with Leipzig until 2022.
