Hoffenheim extended its unbeaten streak on Friday with a 2:2 draw against visiting Borussia Dortmund. Hoffenheim’s goals came from Mark Uth and Sandro Wagner, while Dortmund’s Mario Götze and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang kept the visitors in the match with a goal each. Dortmund lost Marco Reus at the 41st minute for a second yellow card, but his absence was more than made up for by a standout performance by Ousmane Dembélé, who set up both of the Dortmund goals. Hoffenheim is now 6 points behind Leipzig and Bayern, with Hertha, Dortmund, and Frankfurt trailing close behind in the standings. Bayern announced 2 contract extensions this week: striker Robert Lewandowski’s contract will now run through 2021, and defender Rafinha extended his contract to 2018.
