Bundesliga Matchday 1 Schedule at Brauhaus Schmitz

There are quite a few people talking about the start of the British Premier League this morning, but the hardcore members of the Philly Bundesliga Fan Coalition are day dreaming, or actually regular dreaming since I'm posting this before 7 am on a Saturday, about the start of German Bundesliga on Friday, August 14. Friday matches are hard for a lot of people to get to because of work schedules, but several people have committed to watching the FC Bayern München vs. Hamburger SV match at Brauhaus Schmitz on Friday, August 14 at 2:30 pm. For many, the real start of the season at Brauhaus Schmitz starts on Saturday, August 15. Not only is it the start of Bundesliga Saturdays at Brauhaus, but the 3rd Annual Volksbarmarch, which is a German bar crawl that takes place on the first Saturday of Bundesliga seasons in Philadelphia, will be happening on August 15. Brace yourselves for many goals, people yelling "TOOOOOOR!" and sighs of relief from Bundesliga fans as their favorite league is BACK!

Saturday, August 15

• 9:30 AM - Bayer Leverkusen vs. 1899 Hoffenheim
• 9:30 AM - FC Augsburg vs. Hertha BSC
• 9:30 AM - SV Werder Bremen vs. FC Schalke
• 9:30 AM - Mainz 05 vs. FC Ingolstadt
• 9:30 AM - Darmstadt vs. Hannover 96
• 12:30 PM - Borussia Dortmund vs. Borussia Mönchengladbach (will be shown in Brauer Bund)

Sunday, August 16

• 9:30 AM - VfL Wolfsburg vs. Eintracht Frankfurt
• 11:30 AM - VfB Stuttgart vs. 1. FC Köln
